Learning in a group setting can be just as effective as individual coaching! Since we pair Group Coaching with Pillars, you are getting feedback on how to consistently improve your technique AND you're getting the opportunity to work on songs and practice performing in front of others. Hear how other's people's voices work and apply their experience to your voice. Learn that you're not so alone in your singing path!

Classes will be held on zoom and kept at an intimate size so that students can still get individualized attention. You can look at group classes as semi-private lessons. Each week we will focus on a different song style. The topic will be  announced with an email before each class. Examples of class topics/Song styles are: Head Voice, Mixing, Mix Belt, Head Dominant Mix, Storytelling, Pop, Rock and Legit/Classical. Most classes will start with questions and individualized help around technique and then transition into performance. 

Oh,  absolutely. I designed this structure so that you get to kill 3 birds with one stone: get vocal adjustments on your audition material AND be performance ready with vocal/acting coaching AND practice in front of others. And at this price? Insane. Get a top level New York City voice teacher to look at your material WHILE perfecting your audition.

You also don't have to be an auditioning professional- if you're a songwriter or recording artist, bring in your original music and get help playing with sound quality and technique so your vocal health and longevity are there when you're gigging or on tour. 

We have excellent singers in both groups. However, picking the group that fits best for you has to do with the vibe and your individual goals. 

The afternoon group is a little more "business." Yes, we have SO much fun- but it's main focus is  getting your material coached before auditions, getting you ready to go on tour or fixing trouble spots in your set. Everyone is super chill, *good vibes only* you may say,  but it does move at a very fast pace. This is an important disclaimer to not overwhelm singers who may not be ready for this level yet 

The intermediate group is what I like to call "singer's happy hour." Yes, we're learning the same incredible skills that advanced singers are learning. Yes, we're still working on performance. But we're there mostly because we LOVE to sing. We're at the point where we need to start practicing in front of others to work through nerves. We also are all about meeting other people who are obsessed with singing as much as we are!  You don't have to be a self- proclaimed expert, you can even consider yourself a beginner singer and still have a great time! We just say intermediate, because you should be comfortable matching pitch. In this class, level matters less than the focus being on joy, creativity and the opportunity to kick a** in front of others in a super- supportive community.
